The outdoor industry relies on the environment. It’s right there in the name, and on a personal level, we rely on the outdoors just as much as you do. That’s why it’s important to acknowledge and limit our role in creating landfill waste. One solution: recycled polyester.
Recycled polyester is preferred as an alternative to traditional, virgin polyester. Polyester is most commonly made from polyethylene terephthalate, the carbon-based polymer used to create plastic water bottles. Repurposing waste plastic bottles reduces our dependence on petroleum extraction, conserves water, and limits landfill waste. To be honest, it’s some pretty cool stuff.
